FAQ

FAQ: Bio-acetic acid

How is bio-acetic acid produced?

By fermentation of renewable raw materials such as corn, sugar cane or wood hydrolysate. It is chemically identical to petrochemical acetic acid and replaces it as a drop-in.

Which concentrations are available?

Glacial acetic acid at 99–100 % and acetic acid 80 %. Other dilutions on request.

What should be considered for transport and storage?

Glacial acetic acid solidifies below 16.7 °C. In winter, storage and lines should be temperature-controlled; the 80 % solution is less critical in this respect.

In which packaging do you supply bio-acetic acid?

In tank containers (20,000–24,000 kg), IBCs (1,000 kg), drums (200 kg) and 25 kg canisters – from Hamburg throughout Europe.
