Alkyl polyglucosides (APG) are produced by reacting glucose (from starch) with natural fatty alcohols (from coconut or palm kernel oil). The result is a mild, non-ionic surfactant with excellent skin compatibility and complete biodegradability. APG act synergistically with other surfactants and improve foam quality and mildness of formulations.
APG 0810 (C8-C10 chain length) is characterised by particularly good foam formation and solubility. It is pH-stable over a wide range (3–11), compatible with anionic, cationic and other non-ionic surfactants, and electrolyte-tolerant – ideal for concentrated formulations.
